Predicted Huddersfield Town lineup, what to expect from Bristol and score prediction for tonight’s game

Huddersfield Town take on Bristol City tonight in a bid to register their first away win of their season and to claw their way out of the relegation zone. It won’t be an easy task though as Bristol City are enjoying some good form at the moment and are undefeated in their last six league and cup games. It feels like every team we play this season has a former ghost from our past that comes back to haunt us. This time out it is Nahki Wells that will no doubt play out of his skin and remind us of what we are missing and maybe make Leigh Bromby start to wonder if a second spell might be worth considering (he’s given enough other Town old boys another chance!). Predicted Huddersfield Town XI to take on West Brom

Huddersfield Town take on West Bromwich Albion this afternoon in their first game for eleven days, following the postponement of last weekend’s game against Coventry. It’s likely to be a tricky fixture, West Brom sit in midtable after drawing too many of their games so far this season but their team is littered with quality players and even though they are managed by Steve Bruce (who I have held a grudge against ever since his days in charge of Town) they should still provide a stern test for Danny Schofield’s men. Speaking of Schofield, so far I’ve found his team selections a little bit easier to predict than his predecessor. He’s less inclined to make left-field changes and tends to prefer a settled lineup. Huddersfield Town have made the long journey to Norwich for tonight’s game where they will be hoping to pick up more points after getting their first victory of the season against Stoke on Saturday. Our last competitive game at Carrow Road was a 7-0 drubbing back in April 2021, when Manchester United loanee, Joel Perreira, made a rare appearance in goals and Town put in one of their worst performances of the Carlos Corberan era. Thankfully, Norwich are nothing like the team they were the last time we visited them, after failing to win any of their first three league games of their return to the Championship they are in poor form, at least in terms of results. Huddersfield Town play Stoke at home on Saturday at three o'clock today. What a novelty to finally be playing a game of football when it should be played instead of being shunted about at the whims of Sky’s producers, the organisers of the Commonwealth games and the Rugby League fixtures. Huddersfield Town take on Preston North End tonight in the Carabao Cup tonight in a match that may previously have seemed fairly meaningless but now has increased importance after Danny Schofield lost his opening two games in the Championship. Away from the glare of the league campaign he's likely to rotate his squad and give the fringe players a run out but he will also be hoping to record his first win as Head Coach. Predicting the team for these games can be very tricky when wholesale changes are likely but it's also quite fun to try and guess which of the players on the first team will be given a chance. Huddersfield Town head to Birmingham tonight for another Friday night game. After seemingly never playing on Saturdays at three in the latter half of last season, we've had our first two fixtures of this season moved to Friday nights too. As much as football under the floodlights has a certain kind of appeal, I'll be pleased once we get back to playing most of our games on Saturdays. Tonight's team selection has a bit more riding on it than usual as most people felt that Danny Schofield got it wrong last week. I'm less inclined to say that as I predicted the exact starting eleven but Schofield does need to make sure he doesn't repeat the same mistakes again tonight. Predicted Huddersfield Town XI to take on Burnley tonight

The day has finally arrived! The start of the new season. Today is a fresh start for a number of other reasons too as both teams have new head coaches tonight and will most likely be fielding a few new players (though for Huddersfield Town they may be on the bench to start with). Both of tonight’s teams hoped to be starting this season in the Premier League but are having to settle for the Championship. Burnley after relegation, Huddersfield Town following a bitter playoff final defeat. Both teams now have to put those disappointments aside, brush themselves down and get ready for a 46-game Championship campaign. It’s getting close now! After a very long wait and a lot of fussing about tickets, the playoff final is almost here. After 46 league games and two playoff semi-final matches, everything boils down to tomorrow’s winner-takes-all encounter against Nottingham Forest. Carlos said that he has a virtually fully fit squad to pick from for tomorrow’s game in his pre match press conference. If I’m honest, I’m not sure I believe him and he may just be keeping his cards close to his chest to avoid giving an advantage to Forest. Predicted lineup, tactics, creating a cauldron, penalty takers and pride – A preview of Huddersfield Town v Luton Town

Huddersfield Town take on Luton tonight in their most important game for a very long time. At least since the West Brom home game we won at the end of the Danny Cowley era to secure our Championship survival in 2020. Or maybe the draw at Stamford Bridge that secured our Premier League survival in 2018. Or maybe even the playoff final in 2017. Whichever way you look at it, tonight’s game is a big deal. Our 1-1 draw last Friday means that both teams head into the game on equal footing. It's nearly here! Town secured their place in the playoffs weeks ago, so it’s been a long wait but it's almost time for the playoffs. Town take on Luton at Kenilworth Road tonight in the first leg of their semi-final tie. Town are in good form at the moment and have players coming back from injury but Luton are a tough opponent so it won’t be easy. Here’s who I think Carlos wiil pick for this vital game… Goalkeeper: Nicholls Jamal Blackman did fine last weekend against Bristol City but he wasn’t Nicholls.
