My 11 favourite tweets from Huddersfield Town fans following Norwich defeat

Huddersfield Town fans are a broad church and represent a wide spectrum of opinions. Twitter is a melting pot where these views are expressed and that's what happens yesterday after Town's defeat to Norwich. Here are a selection of my favourite tweets about yesterday's game. HTAFC Statto reminds us that we don't tend to start well https://twitter.com/HTAFC_STATTO/status/1304852148337991680 We beat Brentford on the opening day of the promotion season and Crystal Palace in our first Premier League game and haven't won any of the rest since 2011. I suspect this trend may go back even further but haven't had time to research it. Losing by a single goal is better than expected https://twitter.com/Ben_Harrison25/status/1304836778151620610 I agree with Ben, we performed...

The best Huddersfield Town blogs

Opinion, Social media
As it’s the international break and there’s nothing much to talk about I thought I’d do a quick summary of all the other Huddersfield Town blogs out there. Or at least the ones I know about and like. If you like this kind of article then you might also like to read my top Huddersfield Town related Twitter accounts article. TerrierBlog.co.uk Jon at the Terrier blog somehow managed to keep posting regularly on his blog despite travelling all over the world for the first half of this season. He’s back in this country now and is blogging more than ever. He’s been blogging about Town for years and has a nice mix of news and opinions, even if some of those opinions aren’t kind to Collin Quaner. My personal favourite of his blogposts this season involved a foul-mouthed tirade about th...

6 overreactions after the Everton defeat

6 overreactions after the Everton defeat

Opinion, Social media
When you pay for a ticket for a football game you're also paying for the right to complain if you’re unhappy about what you see. Some fans will support their team regardless of the results, others will see their opportunity to criticise their team as a consumer right that they’ve paid good money for. I personally stand somewhere in the middle of this argument, maybe slightly leaning towards the “enjoy the ride” crowd. While it’s silly to say you should never make a critical comment about your club, it’s important that fans vocally back their team. The success of last season and our remarkable home form in the Premier League is evidence that positivity in the stands spreads out onto the pitch. Anyway, this article isn’t having a go about critical fans in general. It’s about the specific t...

I might not agree with every point made but the points were intelligently constructed...
