“A joy to watch” Players ratings for Town’s 2-1 victory over Swansea

Expectations were low going into this game against an inform Swansea team that had not yet lost a match. Town defied the odds and emerged from south Wales with all three points following a great team effort in the pitch. It was a disciplined performance that also required a fair share of luck to see us over the line. On balance, the win felt deserved and there were some excellent individual displays from Town's players. Here are my ratings. Ben Hamer - 7 out of 10 A busy game for Hamer, with him making all the saves you'd expect him to make and notching up another game without a goal-conceding error. The dust has settled from Town’s 2-0 defeat to Swansea, and even though the performance wasn’t great there’s still lots to be positive about Town right now. There’s been a fair bit of negativity in response to the Swansea result, so I thought I’d write my six reasons to not get too upset just yet. Town didn’t play that badly against Swansea Reading some of the reaction to the game from fans on Facebook, Twitter and Down at the Mac would make you think Town were beaten 10-0 and completely humiliated against Swansea. Huddersfield Town suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Swansea City. The problems from previous games persisted, we lacked quality in the final third and made silly mistakes at the back. Here are my player ratings for the game. It was hard to pick out a good performance, as every player was somewhat under par. Jonas Lössl - 4 out of 10 Made a great save when Abraham got a shot away from a tight angle. Completely undid that good work with a sloppy pass that led to the opening goal. His distribution can be excellent but he needs to be more careful and only pass short when players are available. A few more performances like this and Rob Green may be given a chance.
