Huddersfield Town face a stern test in their first match back after the international break when they head to the Potteries to play Stoke. After the start we’ve had under Carlos Corberán we don’t need to fear any opponent but we will need to be at our best to beat a team with one of the strongest squad’s in the Championship with a canny manager at the helm. Carlos will have a mostly fit squad to pick from though Pritchard and Pipa are both confirmed as being unavailable. He will also have the luxury of picking nine subs and the potential to make five changes during the game, which gives him more opportunity to tinker with his gameplan. Huddersfield Town related social media streams are filling up with overreactions and dramatic statements like a music festival toilet that’s not been emptied all weekend. In both cases, the result is unpleasant and creates a stink. It understandable that the most volatile Town fans would take our 2-0 defeat badly. The cataclysmic premonitions rippling through Facebook, Twitter, and Down at the Mac suggest we’re not going to get another point all season and are doomed to relegation already. Our third consecutive defeat in the league was as bad or worse than the West Ham and Leicester games. We were comprehensively outplayed and struggled to get a foothold in the game. It’s not going to be pretty, but here are my player ratings from the game... Lössl - 6 out of 10 Following his poor short pass leading to a goal last week, he played it much safer with his kicking. Town had to share the points with the Potters in their Boxing Day encounter at the John Smith’s Stadium. It was a good Town performance and on another day it could have been a victory. Here are my player ratings from the game: Lössl - 9 out of 10 Pulled off a string of amazing saves to keep Stoke out in the first half. One of those saves was 90% over the line before he managed to dig down and stop it going in. His distribution was good, he didn’t make any mistakes I can remember. One of his best performances for Town. Löwe - 7 out of 10 Will be disappointed that his marker got in front of him for Stoke’s goal, but otherwise had a decent game.
