A Huddersfield Town fan’s opinion on Terence Kongolo’s move to Fulham

Transfers
Terence Kongolo completed his move to Fulham last night following months of speculation linking them and the player. The deal represents a significant loss from the £18m Huddersfield Town spent on the defender a couple of seasons ago but at least gets him off the wage bill. The deal was only confirmed hours after the five pm deadline after many had thought the deal could have fallen through at the last minute. Thankfully it all went through OK in the end and Huddersfield Town have offloaded another one of their expensive signings that didn’t work out. Here are my thoughts on Terence Kongolo and whether this transfer is a good move or not. It’s easiest to break Kongolo’s time down into three periods to properly sum up his time at Town. Some thoughts on Town’s amazing signing of Terrence Kongolo

Transfers
Huddersfield Town have signed Terrence Kongolo from Monaco for an undisclosed fee, rumoured to be in the region of £17m. Check out this stat: Goals conceded per game without Kongolo: 1.63 Goa...

Player profiles, Transfers
Huddersfield Town have signed Terence Kongolo on loan for the rest of the season from AS Monaco. He moved to Monaco from Feyenoord for £13.5m in the summer but has only played six times so far this season, so is coming to Huddersfield to get regular football. He can play at either centre-back or left-back but has played more games as a central defender in his career. He’s 23 years old and has a handful of caps for Holland. Unfortunately, his loan deal doesn’t include an option to buy at the end. It seems it’s a genuine loan rather than the hire purchase types of deals we’ve done for Lössl and Hadergjonaj where we can buy them at the end. This post will look a bit further into who he is, where he's been and what we can expect from our new loan signing. What does Kongolo bring ...
