The rumours of David Wagner’s return to Huddersfield Town have been intensifying lately. As well as “in the know” posters on the Down at the Mac forum confirming the club’s interest in a reunion, there has also been a story on Talk Sport's website. Though, in fairness, I’m almost certain some journalists consider wild speculation on fan forums to be reliable sources, so who knows? It seems fairly likely that Town have put feelers out to Wagner or his agent but there has been little in the way of confirmation that he’s interested in a return. What is going wrong at Huddersfield Town? 7 areas where the club is failing

I was going to do a write up about the 3-0 capitulation to Burton Albion on Saturday but the performance was so bad that it defies analysis. Burton is famous for brewing huge quantities of beer and the only plausible explanation for Town's performance would be them spending the morning getting sloshed in the nearby brewery. Only that doesn't seem plausible, as someone at the club have had to organise a booze up at a brewery - which based on recent evidence we are incapable of doing even this. Town were disgusting to watch, literally. I felt sickened by the half-hearted slop that the team collectively served up. It seems like we may be fairly close to Kevin Nagle’s takeover of Huddersfield Town being completed. It feels a bit like waiting for the Vatican to appoint a new Pope, as we patiently wait outside the EFL gates for white smoke to come out of their chimney. Kevin Nagle tweeted on Sunday night about the takeover, replying to an impatient fan that “We have moved as fast as possible. Waiting for the final sign off.
