Huddersfield Town take on bottom-of-the-table Port Vale on Boxing Day, in a game that should in theory be an easy victory for Town but when does reality ever match up to theory in football? While Port Vale haven't won in the league since September, Town also have a track record of unburdening opposition teams of their bad runs of form. The "And He Takes That Chance Podcast" refer to Huddersfield Town as Charity FC because of this tendency to offer hope to seemingly helpless clubs. Luton Town were in the Premier League just a few seasons ago but are a completely different proposition at the moment, with their last outing being a 5-0 thumping from Barnsley. Predicted Huddersfield Town XI to take on Bolton Wanderers

Drawing teams from your own division in the cup is always a drag. It's even worse when it's against a team that's decent enough to beat us but not a big enough scalp for a Town victory to mean a great deal. Add to that the fact we recently allowed today's opponents to steal three points from us in the league a few weeks ago and this game doesn't bode well. Lee Grant's under fire and injury ravaged Terriers will cross the Pennines to take on Bolton in the first round of the FA Cup today, but it's likely few fans will join them in their journey given the gloom hanging over the club currently.
