Away ticket priority – Who are the winners and losers?

Huddersfield Town have confirmed the priority system for their forthcoming season in the Premier League. As predicted in my earlier article about the difficulties in working out an away ticket priority system, many fans have been left feeling aggrieved. There are winners and losers with the system that’s been announced but I personally think that the club have done a good job of trying to make a system that gives everyone a chance but rewards fans that have followed the club for the longest. Six things we learned from the Accrington Stanley friendly

As I said in my preview of the Accrington Stanley friendly, I'm not a big fan of preseason games. I find them frustrating to watch even though I know that they're meant for building fitness rather than entertaining the crowds. Having said that, there are a few things we can take away from the game which are quite interesting. Away ticket priority for 2017/18 – Who should be at the front of the queue?

This season will see David Wagner and his team coming up against some of the best teams in club football and have to solve problems that seem impossible. Before any of that, the club have a problem to solve that's as tough as any of the tactical challenges in the Premier League. Away ticket priority. Town will receive a maximum of 3,000 tickets for away games in the Premier League next season. It seems very likely that demand will outstrip supply and some fans will be left disappointed. There is speculation in the papers today that a host of Championship clubs are looking to buy Michael Hefele from town. After his key role in helping Town to promotion last year, he’s become a target for aspirational Championship teams that want to follow Huddersfield to the Premier League. It’s understandable that other clubs would see the contribution Hefele made last season and want to bring him to their clubs.
