Huddersfield Town were unlucky to only draw 1-1 with Leicester after they dominated long spells of the match. Leicester were unusually quiet and their best players struggled to make an impact on the game. While Town might have been unlucky to only come away with the point, there were smiles all round at the end. Town have once again played an established Premier League team and looked completely comfortable. The performance was more important than the result in my opinion, after a poor showing against West Ham earlier in the week. Huddersfield Town take on Leicester City at home this Saturday. The game comes just five days after the 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium, and presents Town with a chance to put that uncharacteristic performance behind them. Leicester won the league in 2015/16 and are a tough side to play. Town aren't likely to have things all their own way against the Foxes. We may be allowed to have possession of the ball, but Leicester are one of the most dangerous counter-attacking sides in the league. Huddersfield Town were beaten 2-0 away at West Ham and it hurt to see us lose our first Premier League game. Particularly as Town lacked their usual terrier spirit, and struggled to cope with West Ham's physical approach. It wasn't all doom and gloom though. Here are some of the positives from the game... The Hammers deserved to win on the night, but the goals conceded were both a bit unlucky. Town's performance wasn't as at the same level as their other Premier League games so far. Expectation levels were so high for Huddersfield Town's return to the top-flight of English football it was going to be hard to meet them. Huddersfield Town drew with Southampton in their third Premier League game. It was one of the best 0-0 games I've ever seen, with plenty of chances and action. I've gone through the statistics websites and pulled out the five most interesting stats from the game and looked at what they mean. We put a lot of crosses into the box Squawka shows we played 32 crosses during the Southampton home game. Southampton managed just eight. It's been noticeable that we've changed our attacking style this season and often look to get the ball into the air and try to get Mounié on the end of it. Huddersfield Town drew 0-0 with Southampton in their third Premier League game, giving them seven points from the first three games and sending them (briefly) back to the top of the table. It was a stunning exhibition of counter-pressing football from Wagner's men. Southampton looked visibly shocked by the intensity Town brought to the pitch and will consider themselves lucky to be taking a point back to the south coast. It's been a busy week for Town since beating Newcastle United last Sunday. We signed Sabiri, beat Rotherham in the league cup, and signed Hadergjonaj on loan. Now attention turns back to the Premier League, as Town host Southampton in their biggest challenge of the season so far. Huddersfield Town beat Rotherham United 2-1 in the Caraboa Cup on Wednesday night. It wasn't a good Town performance and we were lucky to beat a spirited Rotherham United. There have been plenty of grumbles about the game online, so I thought I'd write about the positives we can take from the game. Jordan Williams looks like a good right-back Williams overlapped regularly and put in some decent balls to the box. He also tracked back well and looks like he can defend. Now Town have signed Florent Hadergjonaj it looks unlikely Williams will get many more chances to play for us this season. Based on this performance I think a League One or Championship team would want to take him on loan. That would suit the player, Town and whichever club picks him up.
