Huddersfield Town play Nottingham Forest tonight in a game they hope will lead to their first goal and points of the season. Forest haven't had a great start to the season either but have some quality players in their squad that could hurt Town if we let them. The team selection tonight presents Carlos Corberán with some tricky choices. In previous weeks he’s only had twelve or thirteen senior players available to pick from and then made the squad up with youngsters. With new arrivals becoming available and existing players returning from injury there is a bit more to choose from tonight. Yesterday's defeat to Brentford was bad, not just in terms of the result (which was largely expected) but because it revealed the obvious shortcomings at Huddersfield Town right now. I felt despondent about Town's chances this season at the final whistle but have since been trying to gee myself up and feel a bit better about our prospects. I try to be positive about Town even when we lose. Last week's defeat against Norwich featured plenty of encouraging signs and I felt relatively positive about the direction Town are now travelling in. Yesterday's defeat to Brentford was different, it was painful to watch at times. The gulf in quality between the two team was enormous and we played right into their hands. “He completely fell to pieces” – Brentford 3-0 Huddersfield – Player ratings

Huddersfield Town were beaten 3-0 by Brentford yesterday in the first league game in their new stadium. Despite Town dominating possession, Brentford were the only team that looked like winning yesterday’s game. This was not a pretty performance from Town and it showed just how far we have to go before we can consider ourselves equals to teams like Brentford. Here are my ratings for each of Town’s players. Ben Hamer - 6 out of 10 Hamer had a pretty good game apart from one moment. He made some decent saves and played some nice passes out from the back. Unfortunately he also played a pass that went straight to the opposition and on most days would have resulted in a goal but Toney squandered the opportunity when one-on-one with Hamer. Predicted Huddersfield Town lineup to take on Brentford – A defensive shakeup?

Huddersfield Town take on Brentford later today and Carlos Corberán will have the job of trying to pick eleven Town players that can get something out of the game. Not an easy task given the players he has at his disposal. On the plus side, injuries and a general lack of numbers in our squad makes it easier to predict who we might see turn out for Town (but I'm sure I'll still manage to make a mess of predicting the starting eleven). Carlos Corberán spoke with the press yesterday to answer questions about tomorrow's game against Brentford. Below are the main things that he revealed with his answers and a few of my thoughts about what he said. Danny Ward's injury and the lack of strikers Danny Ward's hamstring is still knacked, he's having a scan on it next week. I've no idea why he hasn't had one this week, seeing as he had this issue before the Norwich game. It doesn't sound like a bad injury but the fact it's not cleared up in a week suggests it could be worse than initially expected. To answer this question, I’m going to take a look at every position on the pitch and look at what options Town currently have. Some areas look well-stocked whereas other parts of the pitch are severely lacking. Huddersfield Town lost to Norwich in yesterday's opening Championship fixture. As a Town fan I've become something of a connoisseur of defeat this last couple of years. This was definitely one of the more palatable beating we've had. Plenty of positives, bad luck to bemoan and a decent performance. Here are a few of my thoughts about the game, including my thoughts on Carlos Corberán's sartorial choices.
