Huddersfield Town fell to a 4-0 defeat to a clinical Tottenham side that severely punished some silly mistakes from Town. This match showed the gulf in class between the top six teams and the rest of the Premier League. We've been competitive in all six of our previous games, but against Spurs we never stood a chance. Having said that, Town didn't play all that badly. A few players had bad days and made silly errors, but we played some nice football at times and looked like we might cause an upset when we flew at Spurs in the opening minutes. Sadly we caught Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen on good days and they ripped us to pieces. I think this game will have taught Wagner and his men some valuable lessons and it's really not a big deal to catch a beating from an in-form Spurs team. He...

Huddersfield Town host Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday in a lunchtime kickoff. Spurs are the first of the big Premier League teams to try their luck against Town. It’ll be a special occasion regardless of the result, but don’t be fooled into thinking David Wagner won’t try and get something from this game. Town are in eighth position in the league on nine points, only two points behind Spurs in fourth place. It’s hard to believe that we’re doing so well, having only lost one game out of our initial six Premier League matches. Huddersfield Town went to Burnley and played out a fairly tedious 0-0 draw. Neither side generated the moment of quality that was needed to secure a win. A point away at Burnley isn't a bad result for Town and there were some good performances. But it's hard not to wonder if we could have won it with just a bit more quality in the final third. Lössl - 7 out of 10 Had very little to do, but his distribution was once again superb. Short, mid, and long-range passes all found their man. His quick thinking and accurate kicks started a couple of breaks for Town. Löwe - 6 out of 10 Another below par performance from the German. It was a relief to see Huddersfield recapture their “terrier spirit” after a lacklustre performance in their defeat against West Ham. Here are some of the major talking points from the game... Huddersfield Town were unlucky to only draw 1-1 with Leicester after they dominated long spells of the match. Leicester were unusually quiet and their best players struggled to make an impact on the game. While Town might have been unlucky to only come away with the point, there were smiles all round at the end. Town have once again played an established Premier League team and looked completely comfortable. The performance was more important than the result in my opinion, after a poor showing against West Ham earlier in the week. Huddersfield Town take on Leicester City at home this Saturday. The game comes just five days after the 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium, and presents Town with a chance to put that uncharacteristic performance behind them. Leicester won the league in 2015/16 and are a tough side to play. Town aren't likely to have things all their own way against the Foxes. We may be allowed to have possession of the ball, but Leicester are one of the most dangerous counter-attacking sides in the league. Huddersfield Town were beaten 2-0 away at West Ham and it hurt to see us lose our first Premier League game. Particularly as Town lacked their usual terrier spirit, and struggled to cope with West Ham's physical approach. It wasn't all doom and gloom though. Here are some of the positives from the game...
