Away ticket priority – Who are the winners and losers?

Huddersfield Town have confirmed the priority system for their forthcoming season in the Premier League. As predicted in my earlier article about the difficulties in working out an away ticket priority system, many fans have been left feeling aggrieved. There are winners and losers with the system that’s been announced but I personally think that the club have done a good job of trying to make a system that gives everyone a chance but rewards fans that have followed the club for the longest. Six things we learned from the Accrington Stanley friendly

As I said in my preview of the Accrington Stanley friendly, I'm not a big fan of preseason games. I find them frustrating to watch even though I know that they're meant for building fitness rather than entertaining the crowds. Having said that, there are a few things we can take away from the game which are quite interesting. Huddersfield Town play their first friendly of the pre-season against Accrington Stanley on Wednesday evening. It's Town's first game since their historic playoff final victory that saw them promoted to the Premier League. I suspect this game will be substantially more low-key. Away ticket priority for 2017/18 – Who should be at the front of the queue?

This season will see David Wagner and his team coming up against some of the best teams in club football and have to solve problems that seem impossible. Before any of that, the club have a problem to solve that's as tough as any of the tactical challenges in the Premier League. Away ticket priority. Town will receive a maximum of 3,000 tickets for away games in the Premier League next season. It seems very likely that demand will outstrip supply and some fans will be left disappointed. Kasey Palmer – The Chelsea man returns for another year on loan

Kasey Palmer returns to Huddersfield Town for another year on loan, after signing a new contract with Chelsea. The attacking midfielder impressed on loan last season despite missing most of the second half of the campaign due to injury. While he’s not exactly a new signing, as he’s already spent a year in West Yorkshire, his return is a real coup for David Wagner. Palmer proved himself to be an incredibly talented player and would have been hard to replace had we not been able to get him back for another year. Huddersfield Town have today signed Mathias “Zanka” Jørgensen from FC Copenhagen for a fee reported to be £3.5m. The Danish international defender usually referred to as Zanka, arrives at Town with a reputation as a great defender and a big personality. Scott Malone – Joe Lolley’s tormentor returns to Town

Huddersfield Town have signed Scott Malone, 26, from Fulham for an undisclosed fee believed to be around £3.2m. The left back signed a three-year contract with the Terriers having an option to add an extra year if they wish. Tom Ince has signed for Huddersfield Town from Derby County for a rumoured fee of £8m initially, rising to £11 with add-ons. The signing of Ince adds creativity and goal-threat to the Terriers in their first season back in the top-flight.
