Huddersfield Town have yet to make a signing in this shortened gap between seasons so I thought it might be interesting to take a look at the current squad. Here's a run through all the players we currently have in the first team squad (as listed on the club's website) and what I'd like to happen with them this transfer window. Today Huddersfield Town announced their retained list and said a sad farewell to some much-loved players. While the decision to release these players makes sense in terms of clearing the decks for a fresh start, it's still sad to see loyal servants to the club on their way. A defensive disasterclass, giving youth a chance, playing in flip flops & forgettable football

Huddersfield Town played out a sub-par 4-1 defeat to Millwall last night. It was a game that felt more like a preseason friendly and few people will worry too much about the outcome. Danny Schofield will take change of tonight’s game against Millwall as Town’s caretaker manager, following last Sunday’s sacking of Danny and Nicky Cowley. I firmly believe that Huddersfield Town are safe and will play next season in the Championship. However, there is a ridiculously unlikely combination of events that could take place that could see them relegated. Sitting on 51 points on the table means that Town cannot finish in the bottom two positions but it's mathematically possible for them to finish third from bottom. But's it's seriously unlikely. Here's what would have to happen: Town would have to lose to Millwall first and foremost. While the drama off the pitch won't help their chances tomorrow, they are still in with a chance of getting something from the game.
