The bit after the season ends and before the next season starts is always a slow period for Town related stuff. But now we're entering into preseason the trickle of Town news is now starting to accelerate. We're in the deadzone of Town news, where the players are all on holiday, the season is over and nothing much is happening. I started this blog because I didn't think there was that much coverage of Town that I liked. It was back in the days of The Examiner being pretty dire, the club didn't do much more than post press conferences to YouTube and there wasn't loads of stuff made by fans about games. Thankfully that's changed a lot over the years and there are now almost too many articles, videos and podcasts to digest after a game and that's before you consider all the interesting bits and pieces knocking around on social media. Expectation levels were so high for Huddersfield Town's return to the top-flight of English football it was going to be hard to meet them. Yet, somehow, the start to Huddersfield Town's first season in the Premier League went far better than anyone ever hoped. Town took seven points from a possible nine and went into the international break third in the League, having twice briefly occupied the top spot.
