Relive the best moments of the 2017/18 season through the lens of these Town vloggers

I’m enjoying the World Cup, but it’s not the same as watching Town. I’m badly missing seeing the Terriers and it feels like a long time until the season starts, so  I’ve gone back and picked out best vlogs from last season. It’s a chance to relive some key moments from a slightly different perspective.

Vloggers (video bloggers) get a bit of stick sometimes from other fans, but I like them. At their best, they capture the feeling of supporting a football club a lot better than traditional TV can. They’re not perfect, and the production values are mixed, but being rough and ready is part of their charm for me.

MATTWRLD – Crystal Palace 0-3 Huddersfield Town

Mattwrld has put together the best produed vlogs of any Town fans last season, which isn’t a huge surprise as he runs a company that makes money from “fan media” or something similar. He does a good job of capturing the mood in the stands as Town convincingly get the better of Palace on the opening day of our Premier League season. The bits before and after the game also help to capture the mood around the stadium from a few perspectives.

TerriersTV – Huddersfield Town 2-1 Manchester United

Worth watching for the crazy reaction in the cowshed to the goals and the spine-tingling rendition of Smile a While. Despite only being fairly young, the guy that runs this account is probably the original Town vlogger and has been putting up videos for almost every game for years now. The win against Manchester United at home was probably the high point of an incredible season last year, so this video is a joy to watch back.

Tom Gomersall – Watford 1-4 Huddersfield Town

Things were looking a bit bleak for Town around the time of this game. We’d not won away since the opening day of the season and it was almost Christmas. Like he’s managed before, David Wagner found a way to turn around a poor run of form and Town put in a commanding performance that halted our poor away form. Tom’s video helps to show the sense of relief this victory brought to Town fans.

Sports Appreciation Club – Huddersfield Town 1-0 Watford

This channel is my personal favourite Town vlog. The guy that does the videos picked Town out of a hat to support and has since been uploading his reactions to the games every week. He might not have supported the club for long, but his passion and enthusiasm is infectious and I find his silly sense of humour completely charming. I’ve picked the victory against Watford at home because it was a key turning point in our season.

Josh Price – Chelsea 1-1 Huddersfield Town

I’d suggest skipping through the bits of the game to 4:47 where the crowd start singing “We are staying up!”, it’s great to see the players and the crowd interacting with each other. It shows how close the bond is between the two. Josh’s videos also include some of his friends sharing their thoughts on the game, which is always nice to see.

Are there any Town vloggers I’ve missed? If I have, put a link  to them in the comments.
